Call for nominations EAPA PhD Thesis Award

At our 14th biannual conference in Lisbon (5-8 of July) the association will grant an EAPA PhD Thesis Award.

The PhD Thesis Award is a prize for young researchers whose PhD thesis has made an important contribution to psychological assessment. The winner will receive 1,000 Euros, and two year EAPA membership dues will be also covered. This prize is awarded every two years. The Association will waive the recipient’s registration fee to the conference and will offer him/her up to 500 Euros for travel and accommodation costs. Self-nominations or nominations made by the PhD supervisor will be accepted; either the nominee or the supervisor must be an EAPA member. Nominations have to include, apart from a short statement of reasons, a curriculum vitae and a summary of each of the chapters of the PhD. PhD’s defended/obtained in the years 2015, 2016, or 2017 are eligible for nomination.

The EAPA Award Committee, consisting of Rene Proyer (president), Sandra Sebre, David Gallardo, Willibald Ruch, and Christoph Kemper, will decide on the award winner. The award will be announced at the opening ceremony of our EAPA biennial conference in Lisbon on Wednesday the 5th of July and the award recipient will be invited to present his/her work at the opening ceremony of the conference.
